Day 772 (Y2D42) ChemoRl

Saturday was full of surprises!

We awoke and hung out with Dad and Auntie Jber. Dad showed us how to play chase. Auntie Jber watched our shapes video with us while Dad prepared breakfast.

We were sad to say goodbye to Auntie J but we know Cousin Max needs his mommy. We got to spend the rest of the day with M! She dressed us in cute outfits, let us walk to the playground and fed us tasty meals.

Auntie Jber surprised Mommy at the hospital. When Mommy went to greet Jber at the hospital fountain entrance, Auntie Jber was carrying a beautiful mobile of over a thousand paper cranes! Mom couldn't believe it.

Jber had mobilized family and friends in a little over a week's time to fold a total of 1,000 paper cranes so that Mommy's wish could come true. Jber stayed up late assembling all of the cranes and apparently there are more cranes flying to our home in the coming days!

Mommy and Auntie Jber read the story of Sadako when they were little and since then have been fascinated with idea that 1000 paper cranes can grant you a wish. We wonder what Mom will wish for? Twinks would wish for an endless bowl of grapes. Dinks would ask for an endless cup of milk! Mom will probably wish for the world's largest Hershey's chocolate bar.

Mom would like to thank all of the crane artists who folded hundreds of cranes over the last couple weeks on her behalf: Jber, Lin, Tyler, Loni, Alex, Ben, Evelyn, the Swim Chicks, Ryan, Josh, Cousin Sue, the Feslers, the Bekishes, the Raos, Heather, LaShann, Pip and Mia, the Greers, the Jaseks, the Britains, the Halloways, Trish, Jane and Amy.

Tonight some new friends, K and T, of Mom and Dad picked up our kitties Doleac and Mr. Wilson. They will take care of our cats until January since Mema is quite allergic to them. We will miss our kitties who always sit happily in the kitchen by the window!
Tonight Mom got a neupogen shot which is a growth hormone that helps you WBCs bounce back. This should allow Mom to recover faster and come home sooner. We approve!
