Day 862 (Y2D132) +44BMT

We found many things to be thankful about on this Friday.

Mom's CMV levels went down from over 4,000 to 1,000! After Mom gets below 135 she can stop taking the antiviral medicines. This is great news. We are so thankful for modern medicine.

Daddy ran a 5K turkey trot in Menlo Park and got 3rd place. Our Daddy is so fast!

Auntie Kimmy and Uncle Esteban visited Mema and Mommy at her appointment. It was so great for Mommy to see them and catch up. Esteban's Mommy made us a goody bag of yummy burritos with homemade tortillas. When V had one she she was so happy and said 'Now that is a tortilla!'.

V took us to the playground and we hung upside down like monkeys and played in the leaves. Dinks started telling other children to be careful if they climbed too high.

On Mom and Mema's walk, they stopped at the running store. Mema got fitted for running shoes and also picked up some running socks, a shirt and a sports bra. Mema loved the shoes! She said she could walk so much faster in them and they felt 'squishy'. Mom is very proud of Mema for embarking on this new exercise adventure!

Uncle Rob came to visit us around dinner time. He had AML like Mommy but when he was only 8. At the time he got a bone marrow transplant from his perfect match older brother and 22 years later, he is doing great! Both he and his older brother have gone into careers as a result of their experience with AML.

Rob will specialize in pediatric oncology and his brother researches immunology. Mommy was so happy to finally meet Uncle Rob because they have been emailing for a while and Rob has been a wealth of comfort and information to her.

We ate tasty homemade burritos for dinner made by Tio Esteban's mommy. Yum! We had pumpkin pie for dessert! Buo Buo came over and helped Daddy with bathtime. We impressed Buo Buo with our pullups. We love to put on a lot of accessories when we do Ring Around the Rosie. After we went to bed, Mema led the lighting of the third candle for Channukah and Mema and Mom caught up on The Voice.

Here's our day:

Day 861 (Y2D131) +43BMT

Happy Thursday Thanksgivukkah!

We have been waiting for this strange sounding holiday and it finally came! V dressed us up in our new pink striped snuggly tights and dresses that Mommy has been wanting us to wear for a while. V is magic. She can convince us to wear anything whereas Mom, Dad and Mema are not as convincing. We love our new bunny slippers so much that we decorated them with our watercolor paints.

V took us to the playground while Mema, Dad and Mom prepped the Thanksgiving meal. We missed a few hours of the initial party but Mom came and got us for the feast. There were 13 of is in total. As we sat down, we kept saying, 'We all eat together!' Our kitchen table had magically grown to be able to sit so many more people!

We loved the mango in the jicama slaw, Noah's latkes and the smooth, jellied cranberry sauce! Mom let us drink as many juice boxes as we wanted too. Noah took fun photos of us around the house and outside. We each sang ABCs for the entire group several times. We were really impressing the crowd!

Dad served up tasty beverages and Mom set up an amazing looking dessert table with her 3 pies, Auntie Baochi's corn bread and pumpkin bread and ice cream. We couldn't believe our eyes! We ate lots of ice cream. We love Thanksgiving.

After dinner everyone started singing karaoke songs. We've never heard of 'Ring of Fire' or 'Livin' on a prayer'. We tried to make the music stop several times. Several times we turned off the TV from the TV button as well as the control. We also turned off the router to end their youtube connection.

Mema lit the menorah for the second night of Channukah. We decided it would be fun to wear all of our bathing suits at once and we each piled on several suits. Several of them are a bit more than small on us so Mema had her work cut out for her at bathtime. After bath, we were ready to turn in for the night!
