Day 1073 (Y2D343)

Dear mommy,

We had an interesting combination of a chill and exciting day.  Because school is out for the Fourth of July this week, we woke up late and went swimming twice.  The second time we went swimming it was at the local swim school that Max had gone to for the last couple of years and boy was it amazing.  They taught us one on one and didn't allow daddy or mema or aunt jessie to stay and watch, except for the last 5 minutes of a 30 minute session.  Needless to say we cried when we realized daddy wasn't going to swim with us, but by the time he came back we could hold our breath under water using our "fishy faces."

We love you and miss you mommy!  We know you would be proud!

Day 1072 (Y2D342)

Dear mommy,

We kicked things off early by heading to the Ft Worth Nature Preserve with all the cousies (except for Elo :( ) for a morning hike.  We didn't know that a hike meant that we had to walk in the humid texas heat!  But once we got over that (read: asked daddy and mema to carry us) we had a blast seeing frogs, butterflies, bison and deer.  We even went and saw snakes, lizards and an alligator at the visitor's center.  The docent even caught a scorpion from the women's bathroom and was keeping it for a morning to show the kids before releasing it back into the wild.

Two dozen mosquito bites to uncle mike later, we were on our way back for a breakfast of bagels and cream cheese and we loved it!  Twinks even wanted to save her left over bagel for "later."  Everyone took a post hike nap, even us!

After we woke up we headed to Max's house for a little swim time followed by some delicious thai food.  We like pot stickers, a little bit of chicken satay but we don't like the peanut sauce.  Pad Thai was just ok too.  We are really loving bananas right now.

We went to sleep so easily tonight.  It was a long time and full of exciting and exhausting adventure.  We wonder what is in store for us tomorrow!  We are lucky girls.

We love you and miss you mommy.  We know you would've loved to have gone on a hike with us.

Day 1071 (Y2D341)

Dear mommy!

It was the weekend and we were excited not to go to school for a bit.  We hate leaving daddy and mema!  Instead we went on an adventure with uncle mike, max, mema, aunt lindsey and kiley for an adventure to the perot museum.  We went straight to the kids area where we had a blast playing the sand, water and making some crafts.  We played on some frogs and a little splash pool and before we knew it were exhausted by the time we had to go home.  Aunt Lindsey and Kiley came over and we had a blast hanging out, being dropped by daddy a couple times and playing outside.  Mema and Aunt Lindsey tucked us in and we went to sleep pretty

We love you and miss you!
