Day 1163 (Y3D69)

Dear mommy,

We had a relatively chill Sunday.  Daddy took us shopping which we love!  We are getting ready to make Uncle Gui's Pastistio for school on tuesday.  We got things off to an early start which was wonderful.  We also did a bunch of trimming and weeding in the garden.  We discovered that the local squirrels absolutely adore the kale plants in your garden.  They literally climb up, pull down some leaves and just much on them right there!  Combined with the hummingbirds who fly to Auntie Deanne's feeder, it was a veritable zoo out there.  We picked out some carrots from our garden and turned them into lunch.

Despite our initial lack of enthusiasm, we wound up really liking "the Cat in the Hat".  We actually sat and listened attentively.  After our nap we woke up and daddy took us through a double tour of both the blue and red slide park and the purple slide park.  At the purple slide park we learned how to jumpfall and stick our landings!  We are discovering new things each day.

Overall our entire day was full of crankiness.  We were cranky.  Daddy was cranky.  But at the end of the day we are very grateful for what we have.  Yes we miss you every day mommy and wish you were here to participate in all of the wonderful adventures we've undergone.  But despite that we re very thankful for all the friends and family in our life. You all know who you are.

We love you and miss you!

Day 1162 (Y3D68)

Dear mommy!

Today is max's and Aunt Lindsey's birthdays!  We woke up to M who was visiting us while daddy went on a run for Team Kim.  We had a ball of morning, including a trip to the park where we were able to demonstrate to her that we had forgotten all of our Spanish!  What can you do right?  Or maybe we were just messing with her.  After all we still remember the songs we sang the last time we saw M.  M knew about a salsa festival (get it?  salsa food and salsa dancing) in redwood city that we were really excited to go to.  Daddy came home and we really wanted to go but he said we had to take a nap first!  We got very upset but eventually settled down (we know how to work it) to a nap.

After we woke up, daddy took us to the festival but apparently it was so amazing and crowded that we couldn't find a parking spot within 15 blocks.  Daddy was a wuss and didn't want to take us there so instead we went to the O for our standard!  We actually ordered something new this time - grilled cheese sandwiches which were a hit!  We were also getting googly eyes from all the young Stanford students (girls) on account of our cute purple star jackets (and probably some sympathy votes because of our crazy dad)!

We got home pretty late and daddy gave us a bath.  Daddy has disallowed the routine reading of books and has been revisiting books we haven't seen in a while.  This has engaged our interest for sure and we are much more focused on reading.

We had a wonderful day seeing videos and pictures from our cuzzies and family!  We miss everyone in TX!  We're sending big hearted hugs to uncle dan and auntie therese for all their hard work on hard work on the team kim memory squares.  Thank you!

We love you and miss you mommy!
