Today was the big day where we got to fly on an airplane. Yes it is the first flight we have taken since Day 166, which was intense. This time we were prepared. Not only are we older and wiser, we have learned the magic of ipads, candy and all sorts of amazing big girl distractions that daddy plied on us. Thanks to Auntie Amanda's great suggestion of ipad games (yes, nai nai, they are educational) and Auntie Jessie's suggestions of lollipops! Most of all we were so thankful that GuGu was there to help us with the pottie, get us food, and just be an awesome auntie.
The trip was great we handled take off like a champ. But instead of napping even a little bit we stayed up during the entire trip which made us feel like the world was collapsing when we got off the plane. Fortunately we were greeted by mema and then ultimate Aunt Jessie, Uncle Mike and Max! We were so excited to play with our cousin.
Mema set up our beds as big girl beds right next to each other and we were very excited to see the set up we had - new purple and blue monkey pillows, new purple sleeping bags! We love Mema's house!
The only thing that is strange is that we see many things that remind us of you mommy. There is your art that surrounds us and pictures of you at various stages of your life. It is both nice, nostalgic and sad. But it's nice to be here.
