Day 367 - One Year!

We had a great birthday today! We loved our tasty cupcakes from Auntie Lo and Uncle Dubluv. We initially wore our birthday shirts and hats from Auntie Jber and our pink jeans from Nai Nai. After we destroyed our cupcakes along with our outfits, we wore our only our bloomers! We spent the day with Grandpa Ka, Nai Nai, Auntie Lo, Uncle Dubluv, M and Daddy. Even Mom came home from the hospital to join in our celebration.

As part of the birthday celebration, we were asked to select a virtue. This was Mom and Dad's twist on the Chinese tradition of having the birthday child select from a group of objects which would foretell a prophecy. Mom and Dad lined up stuffed animals that represented the following Ultima IV virtues: honesty, compassion, valor, justice, sacrifice, honor, spirituality and humility. Apparently Daddy and Uncle Dubluv played this video game back in the 80s.

We set off on two separate quests. Twinks nudged the white seal of spirituality but then picked up the bright red bear of valor. Dinks tickled the toes of the blue fuzzy bear of honesty, clapped for all the virtues and gave an authoritative swipe at the purple elephant of honor, the green lizard of justice and the orange serpent of sacrifice.

M gave us beautifully wrapped dresses! We can't wait until we can walk and wear them!

We will wait until Mom gets home to open the rest of our presents. (Note this was not our choice.) Mom got admitted back to the hospital after we were sleeping since she spiked the requisite fever. She enjoyed her 8 hours of freedom but now she will be safer in the hands of the doctors and nurses until her counts return.
