Happy Birthday daddy! Daddy is 11 now, at least in the way we count. We know he is actually 38, but we like to tease. To celebrate we had quite the adventure! We went to Lake Tahoe to meet up with Nai Nai and Yeh Yeh. We started the day with our normal routine and Gugu played with us while daddy got our car ready. We took a trip in our black car, Schwaggs, that lasted seven hours! We stopped at Chick-Fil-A which we were surprised to see in California, since we think that CFA is really only in Texas. This CFA had a different playground but was equally as fun. Poor Dinks got lost a little bit while Gugu and Daddy were "trading babies" and a police officer found her crying, until Gugu went to save her. But after a little commotion we were so happy to get our ice creams from GuGu.
We didn't really nap but generally tolerated the ride to Lake Tahoe. We asked every few seconds "are we in Lake Tahoe yet?" Ahh it starts with the road trips. But it was gorgeous and we essentially didn't take a nap. We saw Nai Nai and Yeh Yeh after we arrived and were excited to see the hotel where we could jump around on a king sized bed. We went to dinner at a Sushi restaurant but were really cranky so daddy had to take us home early while our grandparents stayed and picked up the check. Boy are we cheap dates! When we got back to the hotel, GuGu had brought a cake which we were more than happy to help devour. It was a little challenging during bath time and bed time but eventually we went to sleep, dreaming of happy candles, low oxygen saturation pressures and bunny and peter rabbit.
Daddy is very thankful for all the friends and family who helped him celebrate his birthday. Most of all we think he is thankful for US!
We love you and miss you mommy! We know how much you love Lake Tahoe and we thought of you often while we were up here.
Here is our day:
