Day 86

Today we hung out with Mom. Before Dad left for work, he changed a diaper while on a muted conference call. It was pretty impressive. We were trying to tell him about our ideas for his project, but he didn't understand our baby babble. Well, one day he will listen to our billion-dollar ideas! We got a long sleep during a stroller ride to downtown Mountain View to satisfy our need for a vibration while sleeping and to get Mom her favorite treat. Mom got one of her BEE-BULLY BOOP-ITY tea drinks that she likes at her favorite place. Boy, is it loud in there with all of the blenders. Every time we go we learn a new Mandarin word. Today we met a cute 6-month old boy who was with his parents there. He was a bit too old for us, but nonetheless, he was a nice young man with a good, steady head on his shoulders. Mom tandem fed us today. She has been doing that a lot. It's not too bad, except when we both have to burp at the same time. Mom tried out a new bedtime routine today: bathe, feed, story, wrap and bed. It worked pretty well. We were falling asleep while eating and we only made noises for about an hour. This is a miracle because it usually takes us 3 hours of peeping and bink patrol before we will go down.

Milestones:

Slept in our cribs for almost a week now at night! We are still taking our daytime naps in the vibrating chairs downstairs and sometimes we nap on walks.

We took a couple of short naps in the crib this week.

We are starting to really like hanging toys. Sometimes we accidentally hit them with our hands and music will play.

We laugh at Mommy's and Daddy's funny dances.

We are fascinated by meeting new faces and hearing new voices.

Our faces light up when we see Mercedes.

Rilka did tummy time for 5 minutes while little kitten motivated her. Sadie did tummy time with a very high head for about 3 minutes.

We are both smiling a lot and at times it seems like we are about to laugh.

Since we switched to 6 oz bottles on our trip to Texas, our feedings have stretched from 4 hours to between 5 - 10 hours at times. Our parents are very happy and look forward to when we no longer need to be fed at all in the middle of the night!
