Day 377 (Y1D11)

Today Daddy started off our day with a tasty vegetable omelette! M took us on a lovely walk and helped us zip down the slides in the park. M clipped our nails during bathtime while we were distracted with our signing times video. She takes such good care of us!

We used our new spoons that are for learning to feed yourself today for the first time. We love Uncle Machang's computer! We keep trying to sneek up to him and press its buttons but he is too crafty for us. Dad made it home in time to play with us a little before bedtime.

Mom laid low today. She was feeling a bit sluggish. Uncle Machang took her to her doctor's appointment. Mom's numbers look awesome. Her hemoglobin is in the 12s and her platelets are approaching 200. She has a bit too many WBCs but they will come back down to normal levels soon once the effects of neupogen wears off.

The big news is Mom graduated from the infusion center and she also got her PICC line out! She has had it since the end of February and now she is very happy to have her right arm back!

Day 376 (Y1D10)

Today we got to hang out more with Uncle Machang. Twinks tried her hardest to convince Uncle to give her some of his sandwich and cookies. Dinks perfected her fake cough. Our favorite books right now are Tails and Dogs. We love to turn their cardboard pages, feel the fur patches and watch the moving limbs.
We are now drinking half milk and half formula. We have one container of formula left and then it's pure cow's milk. M and Mom have started closing the baby gates upstairs since we are really crawling fast. Everyone is happy we haven't yet discovered the stairs! Mercedes made Twinks laugh so hard during bathtime by making bubbles with her hand.

Mom rested today and laid low.
She found out her old friend from induction, C diff, is back in town. Mom's hearing is still muffled from her congestion and her sore big toe is lingering. All of these ailments seem minor in comparison to other potential side effects that could've happened from her chemotherapy, but Mom said she is looking forward to feeling 100%!

Uncle Machang kept Mom company at her appointment and during a long bubble tea walk. He made his special pesto chicken salad for dinner and Norwegian style strawberries for dessert. It's too bad our bedtime is so early and we missed his gourmet cuisine.
