Day 1144 (Y3D50)

Dear mommy,

First off this is a picture from uncle chris about us discovering the joys of cream cheese frosting.

Today we started school at Bing!  We relaxed most of the morning because we knew we weren't going to have a nap.  We dressed ourselves in mema's new monkey shirts and our rainbow skirts.  We were very excited because we knew there were two bunnies at Bing.  We knew one of them was named marshmallow but weren't sure about the other one.  Daddy got us ready to go and we headed off to school, where we promptly fell asleep on the way.

We walked over and met all sorts of new kids.  We really like our new teachers and they showed us all sorts of cool things at Bing.  We started with some painting  and demonstrated our knowledge of colors until teacher Lara gave us some arugula to feed the bunnies.  Oh yeah!  We learned the the other bunny's name was "snowy".  We had a chance to feed them and were delighted by it.  We played in the sand, climbed some structure, pretended to cook with some other kids, swept and did lots of different things.  We think there is a lot of imagining and pretending around here.

At the end of class, we had a little story time where we sang songs (west african greeting songs and a goodbye song).  We were very good and daddy took us to Willow Market for a treat of cookies and milk for a snack.

Daddy had to go to a StartX meeting and track so Auntie sue took care of us and got us ready for bed.  Daddy came home to read to us and we promptly went to sleep.  We were tired but actually in a pretty good mod.

We missed you especially lots today.  We know you would've loved to come for our first day of school here.

We love you and miss you mommy!
