Day 360

Mom finished her last two chemotherapy infusions today! Yippee! She went in style to her last appointment with a colorful hairpiece. She's silly but we do like to touch her shiny plastic hair.

It's been almost five months since Mom's initial AML diagnosis. She first found out this past February 20th, on President's Day, when we were almost seven months old exactly. Dinks had not yet discovered the joy of jumping back then. Today, on Friday the 13th of July, Mom will complete her last, life-saving cytotoxic elixir drip just in time for us to turn one next Saturday. That is good timing, Mom. Over the next week Mom's blood counts will drop one last time in an effort to eliminate any trisomy eight myeloid blast cancer cells that may remain.

Today we wore our cute new shorts and onsies from Auntie Eva. M took us for a long walk which included a visit to the park. Dinks smiled at a new friend she made but Twinks gave this same baby the stare down.

Grandma E fed us some more tasty apple and we jumped and giggled for about twenty minutes straight. Dinks is learning (forcibly) to give up her pacifiers in her crib. She is a little sad sometimes when she first tries to fall asleep or when Twinks snatches it from her, but she is slowly adjusting. Auntie Jber the dentist is rightfully concerned about some of Dinks' teeth growing in too far back.

Grandma E and Mommy took a long walk and picked up some tasty Chinese pastries for dessert tonight. Auntie Mary made us some of her famous chow mien and biscotti for dinner. Yum! Daddy came home to tickle and bathe us with some key help from M.
