Day 1198 (Y3D104)

Dear mommy,

Wow, what is with these active weekend mornings?  Daddy was thankful for daylight savings so that he could let us rest a little bit before getting us up for an early race.  Daddy has run the Race Against PH 5k now, on Stanford campus, several times now.  In fact, he took one of us to go race, probably 3 years ago (Twinks, he thinks).  We met up with Uncle Kevin, Auntie MF and Uncle Will for the race. Once the race started daddy started swerving like crazy to get around the crowds!  We were pretty sure we almost hit a dozen people, but in reality daddy was probably thankful that he could rest behind the crowds a little bit rather than suffer through a very painful, went out to fast, 5k.  Uncle Will almost won the whole thing and we all had a great time.  We were the big winners because we got our own water bottles, ate some Hobee's coffee cake, sun chips and fruit snacks.

Afterwards daddy took us to the park near the O.  We had a blast before hitting the O for lunch, where we were so charming to all of the Football fans.  Daddy was happy to get some food because he was getting "wiggy" (which is now a new word for us).  We got home after lunch and played in the backyard, while daddy uprooted our kale plants.  It looked like a lot of work.  Auntie Sigi and Uncle Alois dropped by to bring us lovely gifts and spend time drawing duckies and destroying our train tracks.  We hope to visit them in German someday especially if they have more gummi frogs over there.

We had a great evening!  daddy made some burritos for us after a great shopping trip to the market.  Daddy was feeling ebullient, noting that we are such fun to hang out with.  Even on a trip to the supermarket, our comments, ideas, curiosity and cuteness made daddy so happy.  He loves when Dinks asks daddy "Are you happy?"

We read a bunch of books including a repeat of the Lorax.  It is a good lesson and we don't want to ever chop down any truffula trees.  After daddy tucked us in, we started singing Jessie J's Price Tag.  It was super adorable according to daddy.  We belted out the part "Buh-bling, buh-bling!"  But it was late and before we knew it, we were asleep.

We love you and miss you mommy!
