Day 1220 (Y3D126)

Dear mommy!

Today is the day that we get to fly in our airplanes!  Daddy was a bit nervous because this was the first time he was going to fly with us all by himself.  Gugu was so sweet to drop us off at the airport and help daddy while he was on a conference call.  Once we got to the airport, TSA took pity on us and sent us through a security line that was much easier for all of us.  Daddy suddenly realized that when they checked us in they put us in different rows but daddy was determined and wound up getting that fixed so we could all sit with each other.  We really enjoyed playing with our ipads and watching the airplanes.

Unfortunately our flight was delayed an hour and a half which was fine with us but less so for daddy.  We got up to go to the bathroom 8 times in the first half hour and ate most of the snacks daddy had packed for us.  Fortunately we also had our animals whom we love.

Once we were up in the air, the sailing was pretty smooth.  We practiced writing in our work books, watched a couple movies, went to the bathroom a lot (it appeared that a lot of passengers looked at daddy with pity!).  We were actually pretty good other than doing a couple things that daddy didn't enjoy (like taking off our seatbelts, spilling things on the ground).  And in retrospect daddy says we were such a pleasant surprise.

When we got off the plane, mema was waiting for us.  And the first thing we brought up were her glasses!  We were pretty cranky since we didn't have a nap and there was traffic on the highway road home.  Mema stopped at Chik-fil-A to get us dinner even though Twinks was asleep and Dinks was unhappy.  Once we got back to Mema's house though, all of our memories of the summer came rushing back.  We rediscovered all of our old toys, books, all the nooks and crannies of the house, we forgot about both dinner and how cranky we were.  It was good to be back in TX.  Aunt Jessie and Uncle Dave came by to see us and help us build new toys that Mema had gotten for us too.  It was amazing.

But of course whenever we come to TX, we really miss you mommy!  We love you and miss you especially on the holidays.

Here is our day:
