Day 776 (Y2D46)

Wednesday was wild with normal life.

Today Twinks kept herself busy by putting on her kitty boots and producing copious giggles. Together we practiced our road show and our tent monster dance. We had a great time at the library with V.

These days we both go tinkle on the potty regularly and with authority before bath. Dinks loves to hear Daddy read. Twinks continues to favor her Bunny and Monkey stuffed animals.

M and V are helping de-cat our home so that when Mema returns she won't be allergic to our home. M will take the couch covers and large blankets to the laundromat tomorrow. V has offered to steam clean the non-washable parts!

Mom had her first outpatient appointment today. Her blood counts for WBCs, platelets and hemoglobin had all slightly dropped since discharge but not enough to require a transfusion. It was a bit strange to return to the infusion treatment center after over a year's time. It made everything seem more real. Mom said hi to some familiar faces like the nursing assistant who's name means 'hope'.

At the time of Mom's relapse, Mom had been training for the Nike Women's Marathon, an event that benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma society. She and GuGu were going to run it as a team. Daddy will run the race for Mom wearing her number. GuGu is running for Mommy too. Our photographer, Keri, also dedicated her training and her race to Mom! Who's running for us?

Auntie Jber's nutrition books arrived that will help Mom understand how to improve her diet. Auntie Amy's cranes and wonderful origami ornaments flew in with today's mail. M's friend J personally delivered Mom lots of lovely cranes that she and other au pairs folded. Mom was more than touched especially since she had never met J until today!

Here's our day:
