Mom slept in and woke up feeling like 999,999 bucks! Her leukemia symptoms had pretty much vanished since her cancer blasts have almost gone down to zero.
She had gotten transferred to a private room before bedtime last night and this, this made all the difference. The staff worked hard to get Mom into her own room and boy was she grateful.
Sometimes being a frequent flyer and having friends with good memories of you has its advantages!
Mom can't be happier with her staff of doctors, nurses, assistants and administrators. The Farm's Hospital is top notch in all ways and the applesauce is tasty as well.
Mom spent most of the day in the company of Mema. Dad spent the day with us. We got to visit Mom at hospital and had so much fun drawing, running through the blooming courtyards, eating snacks, playing peek-a-boo and pushing Mom's stroller which she calls Ivy. Dinks sampled a bite of Mom's IV cord and we both worked on boosting our immunity by ignoring Mom and Dad telling us several times that there is no five-second rule in the hospital. We are not sure what they are talking about.
Daddy took us to the swings after our nap. Auntie Loni joined us for dinner and gave us some tasty granola for dessert. We liked hearing the sound of the granola hitting the wood floor. Thank you Auntie Loni for picking them all up for us. We look forward to our day with V and M tomorrow.
Tonight Mom completed round 3 out of 5 of chemo. She started feeling slight but controllable nausea. Otherwise no side effects have begun as of yet but it is still early in the game. Mom's spirits are high and she is loving hearing from everyone!
Thank you all for thinking of our Mommy and sharing your images from your day with her and us!
