Day 766 (Y2D36) ChemoRl

Sunday was a day full of family.

We awoke to three aunties, one uncle and one daddy showering us with love, attention and oranges. Soon it was off to the hospital to visit Mommy. We helped Mommy push her pump stroller and zip her zipper. We played peek-a-boo several times, drew pictures, ate snacks and climbed the stairs.

You'd think was enough for one day, but we kept going like that little energizer bunny. Everyone else needed naps! We went swinging as high as Dad would push us, played drums again and again, sang songs and made Buo Buo carry us in boxes.

Mom had a great day. Her mohawk brought her some funny looks but mostly it provided the nurses, Dr. M and hospital visitors with unexpected levity and joy. Mom's chemo-hawk is shedding but she'll see if she can stretch its life out for a few more days for more hospital fun.

Mom was so happy to see us. Her side effects are getting better every second and her hemoglobin continues to rise on its own. Uncle Snitchy found Mommy some studies that showed very favorable odds for complete cures for AML after BMTs. Mom likes statistics so higher numbers bring her more comfort.

It will be Daddy's and Buo Buo's birthdays later this week. They celebrated with Gugu after we went to bed since Gugu will sadly depart tomorrow. We hope we get to try some cake tomorrow (hint!). Auntie Jber and Auntie Ev visited Mommy after dinner. They shared some good laughs and stories about us. Here's Mom and our day:

Happy early birthday Dad & Buo Buo!
