M sent us 3 Kings presents via our mutually good friend Pamela. M gifted us these purple shoes that light up when you dance around! What fun! V calls them our 'zapatos magicos'. We wore them to the park proudly.
Auntie Drew kept Mom company while she filled out disability forms and on a 3-mile walk to downtown and back. Midway, they stopped at a local bakery to write cards, chat and sketch.
Daddy surprised us and came home early. He went on a run before dinner. He is ramping up for his 12K hot chocolate race that will take place this weekend. Go Daddy! Mom is counting down the days until she can start jogging again! It will be so soon!
We all ate dinner together. V made the family super yummy chilaquiles. Kai Lan entertained us after dinner and taught us conflict resolution techniques. We are both getting quite good at sounding out new words. Mom and Dad are always impressed with our abilities to read so many words.
After bed, Daddy and Drew took down the Christmas tree since Kings' Day has now passed. Mom put away hers and V's family stockings. It was sad to clean it all up and know we will wait almost a year to see it all again! There are many wonderful things however to look forward to and enjoy in the meantime! We will let each present moment wonderfully distract us from longing for next Christmas holiday!
