Day 907 (Y2D177) +89BMT

Monday gave us many more details.

Mom and Dad met with Dr. M to discuss next steps and options. Mom's WBCs are up to 56,000 with 81% immature cells. Mom's Hemoglobin is holding on strong in the high 14s. Her platelets have been getting munched and are down to 60.

Since Mom's leukemia is proliferating so rapidly (quadrupling every three days), Mom will undergo a round of salvage chemotherapy starting as soon as a bed opens up on The Farm. It's back to F Ground.

The hope is that the chemo will get Mom into remission and afterward she can be infused with more of Auntie Jber's lymphocytes. This may be enough to cure Mom's AML if we all cross our digits and are super lucky. If not, Mom will pursue other ways to get into remission and ideally prepare for a second transplant down the road.

Dinks pushed a boy at the playground. Twinks demonstrated that she could secretly snatch away Dinks' blocks while distracting her with a hug.

Auntie Drew made us colored pasta and meatballs for dinner. V took care of us for 10 hours in a row! She deserves a patience award. V will start her improv class tomorrow. We know she will love it!

Here's our day:
