V found out she was a Cultural Care semi-finalist for International Au Pair of the Year and the California Au Pair of the Year. Congratulations V! You are the best! We hope you get to be the final finalist and travel to London!
Mom's numbers are still bottomed as expected. NP Carl did a fabulous job on her Day 14 bone marrow biopsy. He said the only other person who had as hard bones as our Mommy was a beefy body builder he once did a biopsy on. It must be all of Mom's chai lattes and jogging.
Carl inflicted little pain but collected a great specimen that can now be read by pathology. He offered to do Mommy's Day 30 biopsy. Daddy held Mommy's hand and distracted her during the procedure. Auntie Drew and Mema were there for moral support as well.
We had a great day. In the morning we ate our cereal out of ziploc bags. We climbed up the concrete slide with our anti-gravity light-up zapatos magicos from M. For dessert at the end of the day, we enjoyed some of Auntie Torrey's magic pushup pops. Gugu sent us elephant purses which are perfect for hoarding jelly beans. Life is good.
Here's our day:
