Day 909 (Y2D179) +91BMT

Wednesday made us wonder why the act of smiling actually makes us feel happier. Try it. Go on. Mom learned that trick when she was little and has put it to good use many times.

We had a blast today creating beautiful watercolor compositions. We added green into our typically exclusive purple and blue palette in honor of Mom since her favorite color is green.

Auntie Drew and Daddy visited Mommy in the hospital. They all took a walk together with Ivy around the wards and saw the weekly entertainment setting up their instruments for a mid-day performance.

On Daddy's walk home from the hospital, he stopped by our favorite neighborhood market and picked up treats for everyone, including himself. What a guy! Daddy further experimented with strategic facial hair removal today and now has created another trend-setting trim.

Mom will start chemotherapy tomorrow. Her old friends hot pink Idarubicin and sassy Cytarabine will unite with her new friend fabulous Fludarabine to have a cytotoxic happy hour in Mom's bloodstream. Let there be no leukemic cells left standing. A wise hematologist once said:

'The fact that there is no clear answer does not mean there is no possible solution.'

  1. i see someone is giving herself a manicure with watercolors. that is very artistic.

sounds like a powerful combo of chemo drugs, and that it's going to be one rockin happy hour!
