When we awoke both of us did not have bird's nests in our hair like normally. V gave us our bath last night and she knows just how to get out all of our knots. V reads books to us with such enthusiasm. We like how she does different voices and is very funny!
Since his beard is 90 days old, Dad decided it was time to trim and experiment today. Mom tried to get Daddy to do an Andrew Luck cut but Daddy wanted to reunite his chin with the fresh air.
We tell Daddy that we have beards sometimes because we are jealous. Mom says we should be careful what we wish for because one day it might be granted thanks to our northern italian and eastern european heritage.
Dad accompanied Mom to the hospital to admit her. Fortunately a room became available today. Mom and Dad were greeted by many nurses as they settled into F Ground. It's strange but the hospital feels like a familiar retreat for Mom. She enjoys seeing her nurse buddies and hearing what has changed since the last treatment.
Mom's WBCs (cancer cells) have started to go down thanks to the magical lysing powers of hydroxyurea. Her platelets and hemoglobin are falling as well which is expected. After Mom gets an echo tomorrow, five days of chemo will be able to commence.
Auntie Drew made more of her delicious cookies and prepared tasty pasta for lunch. Yum! Drew watched us while Daddy took Mommy to check into the hospital. When Dad came home we were very calm and content. Auntie Drew sure is a kid whisperer.
Here's our day:
