Day 922 (Y2D192) +104BMT

Tuesday told Mom:

We agree. She, her family, loved ones, medical professionals across the nation and her new best friend Depends have put in the sweat equity. Now it is time for Mom to ride the wave of clear biopsies and small percentage chance victories. (Note: Mom got fired up after watching 'Miracle on Ice' the other day.) Mom would like to thank the person whose transfused platelets gave her a boost today.

Tomorrow is Mom's Day 14 bone marrow biopsy. This biopsy will reveal a snapshot of her marrow and the degree of success of the current chemo regime. She has requested her favorite artisan NP Carl for the procedure since he has a great sense of humor and great hand skills. We should hopefully know preliminary results by Friday. We are all thinking - clear, clear and clear!

Mom is feeling better every day. Auntie Loni and Auntie Mary made Mommy tasty, healing broths. Mom bravely tried solid food as an experiment and tolerated it well! She can't wait to try more tomorrow.

Auntie Nene, Auntie Mary and Auntie Helen visited us in the afternoon. We feel loved!

Dad donated platelets. Dad has been donating platelets since Mom was first diagnosed in 2012. In 2013 he made a new personal best by donating over ten times. We are proud of you Daddy for sharing so much of your clotting power with others so the world can use less bandaids. If bandaids aren't needed for cuts and scrapes, then we can use them as stickers which is a much higher purpose.
