Today we woke up to both Mema and Daddy. We were sad to see Aunt Linny go, but we guess that Uncle Bry and Cousin Ki missed her. Mema was hard at work already when we woke up - fixing our Dinks' blankie, sewing up our bunny and monkey pillows and getting ready for the twin sale. Daddy fixed up our milk and our triple threat cereal. We love combos of granola, oh's (thx uncle dave), cap'n crunch (thx aunt lin), panda bites and cheerios. V and Mema left for the MPOM twin sale and got tons of loot (new hula skirts, new clothes and best of all strollers and new cars!). Daddy took us to the grey slide park where we swung, see-sawed, wandered, carried sand, ran and chased! We followed that with a trip to the pizza place where we drank some chocolate milk and didn't touch our pizza. Apparently we don't understand cause and effect or "if-then" statements because daddy kept telling us that if we stood on the chairs one more time, that we couldn't get our ice cream cookies. Well we stood on our chairs and still wanted ice cream cookies but daddy wouldn't budge today.
On the way home, Dinks fell asleep which cause a big mess for naps. Daddy tried to get us to nap with him, but that was a big time fail. Still we had fun snuggling. Aunt Jessie came home from staying the night with Mommy. Afterwards, Uncle Dave, Aunt Sonia and Aunt Mina came by with the puglets for a visit. We had a blast playing with our strollers, taking bunny, monkey, seal and peter rabbit to the park , having a picnic and hanging out outside for 2.5 hours even though daddy can be clumsy. It was great to see daddy have a chance to spend time with some good friends.
We were rambunctious through dinner, bath and bedtime, but we fell fast asleep without a nap for rest.
Mommy and family are still riding the high of getting an empty marrow result. It seems that all her blood work is improving and kidney and heart function is returning. But she is having a lot of trouble with edema, which is making her very uncomfortable. This is the tricky aspect of chemotherapy and infection - you can treat certain things but it pushes against the wall of some other issue. We know the doctors are trying very hard to keep mommy healthy, but seeing as how it is day 52 of this hospital stay, she's feeling like it's getting kind of old. Hang in there mommy, we hope you can watch lots of girly movies on netflix to take the edge off.
Here is our day:
