Day 981 (Y2D251)

Dear mommy,

It has been four days since daddy came home and told us that you had gone to the moon.  We are keeping you right in front of us; we still imagine your caresses and hugs.  We hope you can feel the pulse of our heart and know that we love you so much.

Everyone in the home is getting on, but the atmosphere is heavy with sorrow and an unfulfilled promise that, we guess, we can be circumspect about, for at least a few more years.  We think daddy, mema, auntie Ev and V are making do, but we definitely sense loss.  Daddy and Mema watched some movies that were about missing mommies that you would've loved.  They're doing their best though to make sure we stick to our routine, which we hear, is important for us.

We had a nice day spent outside at the park in our lovely back yard.  We love the landscape that first you found and then you helped craft mommy.  We love running around and pushing all sorts of toys and bikes around the yard.  Most of all we love imitating you and mema, (over)watering plants.  We hope that, like you mommy, we develop a kindred love with the plants around us.

We love you and miss you.

Here is our day:
