Day 807 (Y2D77)

Saturday was very special.

We awoke to Daddy, our dear Nai Nai and Mommy. While Daddy went on a run, Mommy and Nai Nai made us a tasty breakfast of fresh pineapple and cereal. Dinks likes her cereal without milk these days which is funny because she loves to drink milk.

Auntie Torrey came by to help Mommy give away the last big items from when we were babies. She accompanied Mommy for a donut and a long walk. Auntie Deanne came by during our nap to show Mommy her fabulous ideas for laying out a vegetable garden. Auntie D had so many great ideas about how to grow little peas which we love and where to best tuck in some bulbs. She also volunteered to get us a lemon tree and a lime tree. We are all very excited that she will plant our garden and show Mema how to tend to it!

We had a nice afternoon with Mom and Nai Nai. V hung around and played with us as well. It was fun to have her around on the weekend! We played on the couch and with our ice packs. Daddy went to tailgate and watch football. For dinner, Mom fed us Auntie Mary's tasty beef soup with some alphabet pasta. We were so excited to find the letters in our bowl.

Mom rested during our bath but then read us bedtime stories with Nai Nai. She read us her favorite children's book 'The Red Tree'. It is about a lite girl who is having what seems like a tough day and just when she least expected it a beautiful red tree sprouted in the middle if her bedroom. Sometimes life feels cruel but if you just have patience and keep on keepin' on, it will reveal its wonderfulness. We will miss Mommy while she is on her trip to the hospital but we will see her on FaceTime.

Here's our, Dad's and Mom's day:
