Day 848 (Y2D118) +30BMT

It's Friday!

Mom had her routine checkup today. All of counts were mostly in normal ranges except her most recent CMV test showed that CMV is traveling around in her bloodstream. Mom was CMV+ prior to her transplant so there was always a risk that it would surge while Mom was taking immunosuppressants post-transplant.

The doctors say this is not an uncommon occurrence but it needs to be nipped in the bud with IV anti-viral drugs administered twice a day for the next 4-6 weeks so that the CMV doesn't progress into various organs (liver, lungs, etc.) and cause real trouble. Mom is thankful that these medicines exist.

We played with V all day. She surprised us with blue lollipops which made our tongues and lips blue! Daddy told us the sweetest bedtime story and held our hands. He is so good to us. Mom always reminds us to be more gentle with Daddy by not climbing all over him and not always expecting fun airplane rides around the house. Mom, that is just no fun at all! We are still kids and must do all of the crazy things were supposed to do!

Here's our, Mom's and Dad's day:
