Day 865 (Y2D135) +47BMT

Our Monday was more than we could have asked for!

Mom's appointment went great. She will know her CMV level by Thursday but for now we assume it is continuing to drop. Mom broke 13 for hemoglobin and 200 for platelets for the first time since before August when she relapsed! This means Jess's stem cells are working!

Mom's WBCs dropped a little but that is from the CMV medication. Mom got her bimonthly chest x-ray too and will hear back later this week if anything looks funny. Mom's big toe has an slight infection but she is working hard with frequent hydrogen peroxide soaks and antibiotics to get rid of it.

We played all day with V with markers, in the fall leaves at the playground and with our favorite toys. Our spanish is getting to be so good! V is teaching us the days of the week in both English and Spanish. Mom got us days of the week socks too for fun.

For the 6th night of Chanukah, Mema lit the candles and sang the prayer. We were given pink mini-dreidels and a Chanukah gelt or gold coins. The coins to our surprise had chocolate inside. Yum! We like this festival of lights.

Uncle Kevin came over to fix the light in our nursery closet and continue on the ice maker with Daddy. Mom was very excited to have a light in our closet. The ice maker will be wonderful as well. Thanks Uncle Kevin for helping us improve our home!

At bath time, we are now starting to ask to use the big girl potty. Mom and Dad are excited. We still don't like to poop on the potty but we'll eventually do that as well. For now, we prefer the comfort and convenience of our diapers.

Here's our day:
