She is almost halfway through her first hundred days which is the first big milestone after transplant. If all continues to go well, after 100 days Mom should not need a caretaker. She will be able to drive and start jogging again. She will continue on her immunosuppressants past 100 days but she will graduate from more to less frequent appointments. However we know it's really just a one day at a time thing so let's just enjoy the good state-of-being in the present.
Mom saw Auntie Maria from LBRE on her walk. Auntie Maria couldn't recognize Mom in her mask, sunglasses and huge hat. Mom was really glad to see her after many months.
We were a bit cranky today we have to admit. You know, even angels have bad days. Poor V had to listen to cry a lot but she handled it like the big sister to us that we know and love. After a long nap, we were refreshed. We got our second dreidel and golden chocolate coin after dinner. It is sad that Chanukah will end tomorrow!
Dad pieced together our Christmas tree and we all fluffed it out together. We helped V, Mommy and Daddy put up the blue, green and white lights. Mommy cleverly hid the main plug connection to the tree in a shoebox smothered with stuffed animal bears because we were very interested in that plug that makes the lights turn off and on.
Mena made her famous lemon chicken for everyone after we were asleep. We will get to try some tomorrow! Here's our day:
