Day 879 (Y2D149) +61BMT

Monday was full of comfortable bunny slippers, playground antics and lemon pudding with animal crackers.

Mema took Mom to her routine checkup. All of Mom's numbers and her bimonthly chest x-ray looked great. Auntie Jber's immune system continues to be very effective and well behaved at the same time. We are all grateful.

We can sing many songs. Twinks sang Five Little Monkeys quite clearly into her red phone. Dinks loves to sing Little Bunny Fufu.

Auntie Deanne came over during our nap. She came to see the wonderful fruits of her labor in our backyard. Auntie Deanne skillfully planted our vegetable garden, several containers of citrus and herbs and groups of secret bulbs in our yard this past October as a gift to our family.

The garden has grown in even though the recent frost and squirrel nibbling has impacted the broccoli and several of the more frost tender plants. Mom is learning a lot of gardening lessons the hard way but she is having fun experimenting.

On their walk, Auntie Deanne and Mom visited Sunset Magazine's garden. There the plants are neatly labeled and there are many different varieties in beautiful containers and compositions. Mom will definitely visit this garden on a more routine basis.

Mema made her tasty hot and sour soup. At dinner, we listened to Mom read books and watched videos of Cousin Max and Kiley. Dad came home just in time to brush our teeth, read us books and tuck us in. After we turned in, Mom experimented with sautéed red cabbage for dinner. It was a night of tasty leftovers and fresh vegetables for all.
