Day 868 (Y2D138) +50BMT

It's Thursday and it is Day 50 post-transplant for Mom!

Mema took Mom to her appointment in the chilly morning. Mom has transitioned to wearing her ski jacket these days. It looks a little ridiculous but it keeps Mom warm. All Mom's numbers looked great. She needed a little potassium but luckily there are pills for that! Mom's toe seems to be healing slowly as well.

We had a great day with our family. We had french toast sticks for the first time. Mema got us these because Cousin Max loves them. They were super yummy and it was really fun to rub the syrup through our hair!

We had a great time at the park with V like always. After nap, we built towers with our play-doh containers and ate Mema's amazing hot and sour soup. V's ham and cheese crepes were our gourmet second course. Aren't we the luckiest toddlers?

Dad came home early and went for a run. He helped us do our pull-up exercises before bed. Auntie Jber and Cousin Max are flying in late tonight. We are very excited! Mom and Mema made a bed for Max in our room and Max will arrive to sleep there tonight after we are asleep.

Mom covered all of her citrus, succulents, sages and any plants that were wilting from last night's frost. Mom used a combination of burlap, picnic blankets, laundry bags and an old shower curtain. Mom is learning firsthand the meaning of 'tender'. We shall see how the plants do with tonight's frosty chill.

Mom told us to be kind to Max in the morning when he wakes up in a strange place with two cousins he hasn't seen in a year. We will try our best but we are usually really hyper in the morning and run around our room giggling, singing and playing. It will be an interesting experiment.

Here's our day:
